  1. Hisense 32AE5500F ( 32 inch )
  2. Hisense 40AE5500F ( 40 inch )

The Hisense AE5500F comes in two different models, which not only differ in the size of the panel, but also in the resolution, functions and technologies associated with them. However, we can say that the design developed by Hisense for these two smart TVs is a common point, since in both cases it is linear, slim and refined, with practically non-existent frames.

Here are the main features of the 32-inch Hisense :

  • Screen technology: LED
  • Screen Resolution: HD Ready
  • HDR: Yes
  • Internet and Wifi: Yes
  • USB ports:  3
  • HDMI ports: 2

In short, we certainly cannot say that it is one of the most complete 32-inch televisions on the market, but at least it is a smart TV . In fact, you should know that it is very rare to find an internet connection on the TV of this polliciaggio, and in this we can say that Hisense was innovative. The LED panel offers HD Ready resolution, which despite having been largely surpassed by better resolutions, in this case still manages to offer an appreciable image quality .

The Quad Core Processor then intervenes to optimize the levels of contrast and sharpness, ensuring a result that is as realistic and rich in detail. In addition, the viewing angle is very wide (178 °) and ensures a clear and natural view of the contents, no matter where you sit. When it comes to sound quality, too, we believe Hisense has done a really good job.

In addition to the Dolby Audio sound system, a guarantee in itself, the Chinese multinational has also implemented two speakers of 6 watts of power each, for a total of 12 watts output . Considering that, usually, the 32 inches have a maximum of 8-10 watts, in this case we can absolutely not complain about the quality and power of the audio.

The smart section is supported by the VIDAA U operating system , known for the simplicity of navigation it offers. The most famous and used apps (Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Prime Video) are already installed inside the TV, which you can quickly access via the button on the remote control. Furthermore, being equipped with an internet connection, you have the possibility to surf in the browser .

Moving on to the 40-inch model instead, the main features are:

  • Screen technology: LED
  • Screen resolution: Full HD
  • HDR: Yes
  • Internet and Wifi: Yes
  • USB ports: 3
  • HDMI ports: 2

As you can see, the only difference lies in the resolution, which in this case is Full HD. Furthermore, in this case the Master Pro processor also comes into play , which guarantees richer colors, more evident contrasts and greater fluidity in action scenes. At the same time, the brilliance and vibrancy of the color range is guaranteed by the Natural Color Enhancer function , whose task is to maximize color reproduction.

Again, the viewing angle is 178 °, allowing you to watch TV wherever you like and without any limitations. However, when it comes to audio we expected a little more in terms of sound power. For a 40-inch, and considering the level of the competition, 14 watts of output power is slightly fewer.

In any case, this “flaw” did not negatively affect the sound quality, however guaranteed by Dolby Audio. The smart section remains virtually identical to that of the 32-inch model, with pre-installed apps and the VIDAA U operating system . In conclusion, therefore, we feel we can give an overall positive opinion to these two Hisense smart TVs, also because the asking price is absolutely competitive.
