LG UN7100 is not a series, it is a guarantee. The South Korean multinational has succeeded in its intent for this 2020: to create high quality smart TVs at a very competitive price . As you can easily guess, and we do not want to hide it, our opinion is more than positive, as well as that of hundreds of users who have already tried the quality of entertainment of these LG models.

  • Screen Resolution: UHD 4K
  • HDR: Yes
  • Operating system: webOS 5.0

As always, let’s start with a brief description of the design , which in this case can be defined by four adjectives: refined, slim, ultra-thin and modern. The bezels are almost non-existent, and this allows you to enjoy a very large viewing space. The LED panel benefits from UHD 4K resolution and HDR technology (with support for HDR 10 Pro and HLG ) that work in synergy to offer top-of-the-range content.

Contrast levels, as well as color range and sharpness, are automatically optimized based on the transmitted content. The power of the Quad Core 4K Processor should not be underestimated , which performs two important functions : eliminating noise from the screen and converting low-quality content into content close to UHD 4K.

Also for what concerns the fluidity of the image we can say that the South Korean multinational has developed some very interesting functions, especially for gaming lovers . The input lag is very low, and so even the most action-packed movements appear natural and fast; the HGiG profile, on the other hand, is useful for fine-tuning the HDR graphics to ensure the best gaming experience .

As for the viewing angle, it is not clear why LG has not made it public, but given the technologies applied to the panel, it turns out to be very wide and far superior to other previous models. On the audio side, however, we define ourselves on average satisfied. The South Korean multinational has implemented 2 down firing loudspeakers with a total power of 20 watts .

The Ultra Surround mode , together with Clear Voice III technology offers a very clear and crisp sound experience, even if it lacks power. To solve this problem, however, simply connect an external soundbar, via the Bluetooth connection . Speaking of the smart section, enthusiasm returns. The webOS 5.0 operating system is simple, smooth and updates are simple to perform, and AI ThinQ technology always manages to stand out.

Numerous applications can be downloaded from the store : it is really difficult to find any incompatible ones. The management of the LG UN7100 smart TV is also very satisfactory, especially for the voice commands that can be used, thanks to the integration of Google Assistant , instead of the remote control.

Regarding the latter, we must unfortunately underline the absence of the Magic Remote , the latest generation remote control that would make interaction with the TV even simpler and more fluid. The compatibility with Google Home and Alexa is useful and interesting.

What, then, to conclude this review? Our final judgment is very positive. The advantages far outweigh those few and small flaws, among other things that can be easily solved. LG UN7100 is an investment that is unlikely to leave you disappointed .
