Philips PUS7505: The Review

Available formats:

The Philips PUS7505 series consists of four smart TVs with panels of different sizes, the last of which even reaches 70 inches in size. We liked everything about these Philips TVs, because the attention and attention to detail is evident and eligible. This is also confirmed by the testimonials shared by people who have already had the opportunity to experience the quality of the entertainment of these smart TVs, but as always, before continuing, let’s take a look at the technical specifications :

  • Screen technology: LED
  • Screen Resolution: UHD 4K
  • HDR: Yes
  • Operating system: SAPHI
  • Internet and Wifi: Yes
  • USB ports: 2

As for the design , there really isn’t much to say. The aesthetic remains rather simple and straightforward, although Philips could have opted for slightly thinner bezels. In any case, we certainly cannot say that the viewing space has been sacrificed, quite the contrary. The panel features the LED backlight system and UHD 4K resolution , which goes well with the HDR10 + .

The vision of the contents, therefore, is optimal, also because it is supported by other technologies and functionalities. The first to talk about is definitely the P5 Perfect Picture Processor , which improves color tone, contrast levels and brings out even the smallest details. Furthermore, the movements appear very fluid and natural even during the most action-packed scenes.

Two other important technologies are Micro Dimming and Dolby Vision , which work in synergy to offer consistently excellent and top-of-the-range content. Also as regards the sound section we can say that Philips has not spared itself at all: two speakers with 20 watts of output power that work together with the Dolby Atmos sound system . But, let’s go into the details and see what lies behind the audio of the PUS7505 series:

  • 5-band equalizer
  • AI Sound
  • Clear dialogues
  • Night mode
  • Automatic volume adjustment
  • Improved bass
  • Dolby bass enhancement
  • Dolby volume adjustment

Therefore, when it comes to video and sound quality, we can only congratulate Philips. Likewise, enthusiasm remains high for what concerns the smart section, at the base of which we find the SAPHI operating system . The latter is very simple to use, both thanks to the quick icon menu and thanks to the efficient remote control. On smart TVs you will already find numerous apps pre-installed , including Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video: in short, the range of offers will not leave you disappointed.

What we would have expected instead is the integration or a voice assistant , or at least the compatibility with one of these. Instead, unfortunately, the voice command is not really contemplated for the smart TVs of the PUS7505 series. In any case, there is always the possibility to connect the smartphone to the TV and to share your multimedia contents on the big screen.
