The Mi Smart smart TV from the Chinese multinational is a really good product, full of numerous strengths and almost devoid of weaknesses. From our point of view, the strength of this smart TV lies above all in the Android 9.0 operating system, which as we will see better later, is perhaps the main factor that justifies the price of this Xiaomi smart TV.

Let’s take a look at the technical specifications:

  • Screen technology: LEDs
  • Screen resolution: UHD 4K
  • HDR: Yes
  • Operating system: Android 9.0
  • Internet and Wifi: Yes
  • USB ports: 3
  • HDMI ports: 3

In short, from this short list it would seem that this Mi Smart TV does not lack anything, and in fact, in some ways it is really so. Also as for the design there is nothing to say: the panel is quite thin, and the frames are almost imperceptible. The space of vision, therefore, we certainly cannot say is scarce. Indeed, considering the viewing angle(178°/178°),the visual experience is very engaging and “free of limitations”.

As for the technologies applied to the panel there is not much to highlight compared to what is listed just above: the backlight system is LED, the resolution is UHD 4K and HDR technology is present. All this, although now taken for granted in recent models of smart TVs, forms the basis for a satisfying and high-quality television experience.

In addition, then, we must take into account the Quad-core processor, known for its efficiency. In essence, therefore, we say that this Mi Smart TV is equipped with the basic functions regarding video quality, since there are no additional technologies or features to talk about. As for the sound section,the strengths are:

  • Two integrated speakers with 20 watts of output power;
  • Dolby Digital Experience technology;
  • Integrated DTS and Dolby Digital decoders that offer highly accurate decoding.

The sound experience, therefore, is quite good and engaging. At this point we just have to talk about the smart section, supported by the Android 9.0operating system . The latter turns out to be easy to navigate, complete, interactive and performing, with thousands of apps downloadable at the Google Play Store. The most popular, however, are already pre-installed in the smart TV, and the remote control has buttons forquick access.

The remote control also has the button to access voice commands, since the Mi Smart TV is equipped with built-in Google Assistant. In addition, the remote control has a red button (HbbTV 2.0) that you can use to receive more information about the program you are watching. In short, as we said, overall, the Xiaomi Mi Smart TV does not really lack anything.

The only thing, perhaps, is that the Chinese multinational could have focused its attention also on panel technologies. This would have further increased the value of the smart TV and the beauty of the television experience. In any case, however, we are still talking about a product with anoptimal quality-price ratio.
